Detailed history: This carved statue has been entirely crafted by hand from local craftsmmale and female figures honor the gods en in Indonesia (Java). It is a reproduction of the traditional figures that were used as a fertility symbol. Usually these statues are put as a couple in front of the bed during the ritual marriage in Java. The Dewi Sri, who is the goddess of rice, and Dewa Sadono her consort.
