This impressive pedestal is crafted from reclaimed support beams sourced from ancient buildings in the Shanxi region of China. Dating back to the mid-20th century, the beams feature distinctive carvings that contribute to the piece’s rugged and organic form. After a meticulous restoration process involving bleaching and reinforcing the cracks with special iron rivets, a unique and playful piece of furniture has emerged.
